Rise! It's Time To Set New Records & Shatter Old Ones

On the first day of this year, my dry cleaner requested to see me at home and I granted his request. He came in very early around 7 am, but they told him he can't see me now, so he had to come back around 4 pm the same day, I was in a meeting but he decided to wait for 2hrs 30mins when the meeting ended.

I didn't understand the urgency of his predicament until he started narrating his ordeal, He said he has run his dry-cleaning business for 3years but he ended last year with zero balance in his bank account, and he wanted me to loan him some funds to start the business afresh in the new year.

Hmmm!, that was surprising, right? I was surprised too, initially, I found his story difficult to believe because I have the records of all my dry cleaning bills showing that I have done about 100k transactions with him last year until I asked him a certain question that he couldn't answer.

It was time for me to x-ray his business so I asked him to bring his daily sales record book for me to know how much his business makes daily and for me to know if he can repay back my loan, the real surprise was that he said he has no records for his daily sales for the past 3years.

I was shocked, this is the real surprise of the new year for me.

I started thinking about the number of small business owners who will also be in this category, I couldn't put my money into uncertainty.

He lost the new year opportunity, this is exactly what many other investors will do. You will do the same too if you were in my shoes right?

Adversity causes some men to break; others to break records.

The new year is another opportunity to start afresh, you don't have power over the past, but you can start setting the records of the present right, the accumulation of this will set the future right.

My conclusion to my dry cleaner was that you cannot correct the past but you have power over the new year. Start keeping the record of your daily sales from today and come back in 90days (3months) for me to know how serious you're. Yes, he opted for the option to come back in 90days.
